1 | Should Christian men wear a beard? | 1 Chr 19:5 | skccab | 190808
You guys just made it tougher!! First it was distinguishing men from women in the 60's and 70's. Then we had to distinguish Godly men from just men - Now we have to figure out Godly manly men from just Godly men???? Will this never end? :-) Just couldn't resist splashing some humor here. blessings cheri |

2 | Should Christian men wear a beard? | 1 Chr 19:5 | kalos | 190853
Does the New Testament really say, By your beards shall all men know that you are my disciples? Or how about this one, "By their beards ye shall know them." :-) (It's a joke.) Grace to you, Kalos |

kalos: I think a carnal believer can and will do what ever they are drawn to. The beard thing is pretty legalistic. If men adapted to the culture they live in, without considering their witness to the world, who would be able to change the world. Actions sometimes speak louder than words. We have lots of black horse drawn buggies near us, and there is no doubt what they believe, as they have made a huge statement, they are not of this present culture, or of the world. This is extreme, and I would not do this, but we have become friends with several Amish families. They live their faith for all to see. How do we live our faith so others see. |
