Subject: Should Christian men wear a beard? |
Bible Note: There is no Biblical teaching against men having beards, however there are some Churches that frown on there men having one. Even more so a man getting behind a pulpit. I have found after researching this topic, that God prefers men to have beards and that those beards be full style beards. For the reason you mentioned about being separate from the rest of the world, and not even giving the appearance of evil. We are not to conform to the world but we are to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. That means that we are not to conform to this worlds "image" as well, and that image of what a man looks like now, is what is called the "metro-sexual male". A man that is more concerned about the way he looks, than his wife or girlfriend. Always smooth shaved, with close cropped impeccably styled hair, manicured finger nails...etc... This is not what God had in mind when he created man, in his own image..... |
