Subject: Should Christian men wear a beard? |
Bible Note: Brad, This study was a six month long journey through the Bible, and I really did not think it necessary to list all the scripture reference here. I do not think that one can just look up a verse of scripture and receive the complete understanding and application that God intended. It is like when you read through the Bible every year and you get something new each time. I believe this is the kind of understanding that comes when we begin to wean off the milk of the Word, and can finally start to handle the meat of the Word. I really did not intend for it to seem as you said; "making a mountain out of a mole hill". I have heard that some Baptist preachers and leaders will not allow a man with a beard to get behind their pulpit, and this is not in keeping with Christianity. You are correct that this is not necessarily God-directed, but I believe that it is God-preferred. In Christ, Paul |
