Hank, I felt you were being judgemental because you felt the need, and still feel the need, to point out that I didn't use Scriptual references in most of my replies to people in this forum which seemed to imply that I was innacurate in my own opinions or inadequate for this forum because I was giving my opinions or "musings" without scriptual reference as if that was bad or wrong!!!??...You pointed out that you were not impressed as if I was trying to impress you or someone else...By the way, thank you for stating this forums statements given by Thee owner...I have read them and note the words in statement #1 "...whenever possible.."....This, therefore, admonishes me of any wrongdoing in this forum because...at the time of my replies, I could not accurately give biblical references...it was not possible, so I made the choice not to include them....Does it state anywhere by the owner of this forum...because maybe I missed it....that we HAVE to include biblical reference or is that just your opinion? If you weren't being judgemental why did you feel the need to express your negative opinion about me and my replies when no one asked you a question or for your opinion? Why did you feel it necessary to point out, what you consider a fault of mine as if you owned this forum yourself?...If not out of judgement or criticism then what? It is a forum, so you do have the right to express your opinion as you JUST DID in your last note WITHOUT biblical reference and...hmmm, that's all I did when replying to people...as you pointed out, I gave my opinion...Tell me, how are you not being judgemental or critical or intrusive by feeling a need to point out something I did or didn't do? Did you post a question that I replied to? If so, you can tell me/us how you feel about my reply....but if I am replying to OTHER PEOPLE'S questions your negative imput is not necessary or asked for...which is what gives me the impression that you are judging my biblical base and biblical knowledge simply because I did not give biblical reference in my responses to OTHER people's questions! You seemed to imply and make assumptions that I was somehow offbase or questionable simply because I didn't give scriptual refence...Do you want to be impressed, Hank?....Ask me a question and I promise to give you every biblical scripture, chapter and verse in my response...without my own "conjecture" or "musings"....because it's important to everyone here, I'm sure, that Hank be impressed, right!? You do not own this forum...you are not the police of this forum...and as I stated before only God is the Judge! If I had gone against the rules of this forum, which you seem to be entranced with, then I am sure the owner would let me know...and I would be apologetic, but.. until then, feel free to discuss your biblical understanding, "musings" or "confjecture" as we ALL are doing here! Boy, even today there are those stuck in the law who are quick to point out, what they feel, are other people's wrong doings who have forgotten to love and be at peace! Either way, I meant you nor anyone else any offense...not sure why you felt the need to be offensive! Sincerely, Sister |

2 | Question #4 for tremere123 | Exodus | Hank | 67772
tremere123: From your post # 67733: In answer to the question regarding the qualifcations of an elder, you posted this: "I think that an elder is someone who is either older than you or someone in authority"...etc. The New Testament lays down specific qualifications for elders. What are they, and why did you not answer this question from Scripture instead of with a vague and rambling series of "I thinks"? --Hank
3 | Question #4 for tremere123 | Exodus | tremere123@comcast.net | 67855
1 Timothy 5:17 Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in the word and doctrine. 1 Peter 5:1 The elders who are among you I exhort, I who am a fellow elder and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that will be revealed: Hebrews 11:1,2 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2 For by it the elders obtained a good testimony. 1 Peter 5:5 Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders, Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for "God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble." By the way, this was not the Scripture I was referring to in this peticular reply but I will find it and post it. |
