"...but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears". 1 Corin. 13 says this. So, has perfection come? I believe the return of Christ is the perfection spoken of in this verse. Once we have the presence, we won't need the spiritual manifestations at all. Just MHO. | ||||||

Greetings Duketunes! Thanks for the response! The big problem that I have with trying to attach any particular 'event' to 1 Cor. 13 as being the 'perfect' is that Scripture simply doesn't say what it is. So, at best, all of our 'guesses' are nothing more than 'guesses'. :-) Plus, I think that we miss the point of 1 Cor. 13 anyway when we try to pinpoint when the 'perfect' occurs. Paul wasn't trying to give us a chronology. He was simply trying to demonstrate that love is supreme and that there is never, and never will be, a time when love is not appropriate.
