I am not going to stick up for the Catholics but there is a bit of a flaw in your logic; you quoted Revelation, Rev. 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. Which book is the book of Revelation in your Bible? It is the last book in mine of a collection of 69 separate books. The Bible isn’t a book actually but rather a collection of books or a file and the Catholics haven’t changed a thing in their book of The Apocalypses. The Catholics didn’t change the sabbath day to Sunday they worship on the Lords Day, which is Sunday; Saturday is still the sabbath. I hope that you aren’t fulfilling Col. 2:16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Just thought that I would add my two cents worth, CDBJ |

CEBJ You might want to get a book of cataicism (sorry I can't spell) and look up the Ten Comandments written in it (somewhere around pg 50 0r 60.) You will notice that the second commandment is taken out completely, which states not to have any graven images. The third commandment is then quoted as the bibles fourth commandment which states to keep the sabbath Holy and not to do any work on it. At the end a commandment is added I beleive it's in the nineth position so there is still Ten Commandments from removing the second. Also check for yourself under the 3rd commandment that it states that the Catholice church changed the sabbath from Saturday to Sunday. It also says that the Protestant church pays homage because it follows suit. This is not what my Holy Bible says. AS for as Col. 2:16 This scripture is referring to meat and drink offerings, new moon and sabbath days under which are related to the feast which were under the Levitical Law. We are no longer under the Levitical Law. The sabbaths were kept during the feasts. sincerly |

You didn’t even catch it when I said my Bible had 69 books in it. I thought I would dangle the bait out but you didn’t even bit? Please don’t excuse your spelling because you are communicating with the worst speller on the forum and I will admit it. I do everything in Microsoft word then copy and past to the forum. And just for sake of an argument I think the word is spelled catechism and since there are many I am assuming that you are referring to the Catholic catechism. There is a fellow on this forum whom I am sure could set you straight on all of these fine points, who is very well versed, and goes by the name Emmaus I think he is the one you should be conversing with; I know a little about the Bible but I’m not very big on the religion stuff. |
