1 | Does Heb 6 support "always saved"? | Bible general Archive 1 | Hank | 90089
Well, you have no argument with ME on your position on baptismal regeneration. I believe the Scriptures teach both regeneration and baptism but not baptismal regeneration. Baptists (and that's what I am) believe that baptism comes after regeneration -- we call it believer's baptism -- but has no power to regenerate. And here, of course, water baptism (immersion) is meant. ..... But we do not play down the extreme importance of obeying the Lord's command to be baptized. It is unthinkable that anyone who confesses Jesus as Lord and Savior would not follow Him in obedience to His command to be baptized. --Hank
