1 | Is asking for money false? | 2 John 1:10 | Morant61 | 143671
Greetings Luis! What then do you do with 1 Cor. 9:14: "In the same way, the Lord has commanded that those who preach the gospel should receive their living from the gospel." Here, Paul explicitly states that those who preach the gospel should receiving their living from their ministry. Jesus also says in Mt. 10:10, "take no bag for the journey, or extra tunic, or sandals or a staff; for the worker is worth his keep." Finally, 1 Tim. 5:17 says, "The elders who direct the affairs of the church well are worthy of double honor, especially those whose work is preaching and teaching. 18 For the Scripture says, 'Do not muzzle the ox while it is treading out the grain,' and 'The worker deserves his wages.'" From these verses, it seems quite clear that those who serve in full time ministry are to 'make their living' from that ministry. Of course, God Himself established this precedent with the OT temple, where the priests received their 'living' from a portion of the gifts and money brought to the temple. 2 | Is asking for money false? | 2 John 1:10 | NewCovenant7777 | 143683
Greetings Tim, good to hear from you. You make all "valid points", but only one problem, Paul and all other True Christians in Scripture sold all and "Not One" was a part of the culture in which they lived. I don't say this in quarrlesome manner, however I politely challenge you to search the Scriptures and I am 100 Percent Confident you will not find one True Christian again that was part of his/her culture. Now, it is true that Paul and other New Testament writers wrote their Letters to babes and the double minded, but I am sure you would agree they weren't commended by their unwillingness to sell all. Furthermore, there lives were unstable and unproductive in the Kingdom. I am confident you and all that read this "Don't want to be unstable and unproductive, Do you???" My question to everyone is, "When did it change?" When did it change that True Disciples of Jesus had to sell all and live as aliens, and be regarded as scum? Scripture is clear if you proclaim and live truth, "You will be hated and persecuted"(2Tim 3:12). (Mocked and laughed at...) and the Faithful rejoice in all of it...amen and amen... Could say much more, but this is sufficient for now... Again, could to hear from you, and I hope the truth spoken here will lead you too, to sell all. Jesus is the same y-day, today, and forever, right??? By the way, "Selling All" isn't "necessarily" selling all one's possesssions, although it can be and usually will eventually lead to that. However, Jesus meets a soul where he or she is at, and transitions him/her out of the mammon system into the freedom and power (2Tim 1:7) found only in HIM. Selling all, simply put, is letting Christ live through us as efficiently as possible and this requires the greatest degree of crucifying of the flesh. Our Idolatrous ways must be crucified or we are useless in the Kingdom of God. I assure you, this is possible, and thankfully after over twenty something years of "double mindedness" I finally decided to cooperate with Jesus's Command to me, "to sell all"...amen and amen...To HIM be the Glory!!! One last note, God hasn't changed and man hasn't changed...be careful not to rationalize and/or justify yourself as did the Rich Young Ruler when He was told to "sell all". Jesus is the Word of God and His Message hasn't changed and again we havent changed. God is willing, but the flesh is weak (we resist). We try everything but, His way and of course we suffer the consequences. I am sure you would agree that the condition of the church validates this truth. Please read Luke 18 about the Rich Young Ruler and again, the message hasn't changed, and nor has our Idolatry. "We all know" what God's desire is and He is willing... and if we cooperate, you will sell all(again not necessarily physical possessions) and this truth will set you free...amen and amen...***The Rich Young Ruler's unwillingness to sell all simply exposed Him for not being born again...had He been born again, Jesus would have said the same thing, but would have met Him where He was at and transtioned Him out...amen and amen... Selling all is simply no longer desiring to live by might and power (the flesh/human effort and principles), but desiring to let Christ flow through you in complete trust. God is a good God...His burden is light and His yoke is easy...His commandements aren't grevious, but this is "obviously" only the case when the resurrection power of Christ flows through our crucified souls...amen and amen... 3 | Is asking for money false? | 2 John 1:10 | DocTrinsograce | 143687
Dear Luis, Before you wrote, "it is 'the height of evil' to ask for money for proclaiming and living truth (The Gospel)." Now you have switched to saying it isn't about possessions, but some spirtual aspect of regeneration. This kind of waffling does not make for sound exegesis. Besides it confuses your audience to no end! Furthermore, the continued use of undefined (at least I haven't yet seen where you have defined them) like "mammon system" and "crucified souls" confuses even more. I'm all for church planting, and the feeding of the flock. But the flock need to be fed something they can digest. Over-spiritualizing scriptural terms, combining them as needed, and not taking the rest of scripture into account, etc... these will not make for healthy sheep, friend. I pray that the Lord will aid you to become sound and faithful in the doctrines of Christ and the Apostles, that He may use you effectively for the purpose to which you have so much zeal. In the mean time, we pray that God will be merciful and gracious to you and those you seek to teach. In Him, Doc |

4 | Is asking for money false? | 2 John 1:10 | NewCovenant7777 | 143705
Greetings Doc, I "will try" to make this a short correspondence. I appreciate your response, however it quite apparent their continues to be a misunderstanding, and "I am realizing more and more attempting to make things clearer" isn't bearing fruit. "Mammon System" and "Crucified Souls" Defined: Scripture says we can't serve God and Mammon. Now, it is true it doesn't say "system", however it most certainly is implied and understood by those who have ears to ears and eyes to see. (Not saying whether you do or not). Many Chrisitans today see "mammon" as just money( or what they define as the "love of money", and although money is a part of the mammon system, it is just "one part". It is the "oil" that keeps the "system" running, but the mammon system also involves quite frankly every way of man. The mammon system is predicated on hard work, accomplishment, performance, pride, competition, narcissism, "even attempts at morality"!!! etc...I could list 100's, if not 1000's of characteristics. It is simply again "all the ways of man/the flesh". I could say much more, but I believe that will satisfy your inquiry. Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit, thus saith the Lord (Zech 4:6)***This makes it "obvious" nothing new under the sun..."the beat goes on..." Now with respect to "crucified souls". Of course, the word "crucified, isn't foreign", I would hope?? and not sure why "souls" causes such hysteria, but simply "we are souls", right?" Scripture does speak about crucifying the flesh, right?" "We are flesh, right?" I could continue, but I think you have the picture. The phrase "crucified souls" is simply a phrase the Holy Spirit gave me to Illuminate and make more personal His desire for all of us. It is simply the use of two words, instead of one, to describe a very foundational truth of Scripture.(Jesus was slain b4 the foundation of the world)(Heb 9:26)Jesus said if you want to be my disciple you will walk as I walked...Be Crucified!!! Did Jesus not live His Life as He died? Crucified??? Handle not, Taste not, Touch not!!!...also read Luke 4/Temptation by Devil) Mammon System and Crucified Souls in no way are adding or subtracting from Scripture. **Not being crucified is "subtracting" and "human morality is adding"...??? The Holy Spirit revealed this to me and I will present it to you this way. Through out Scripture, God purposely had the physical reflect the spiritual, right? Examples: The Garden, Noah's Ark, Tower of Babel, Israelites in Bondage/Egypt, Passover, Their Deliverance through the Red Sea, The Wilderness, The River Jordan, The Promise Land, Captivity in Babylon...I could go on and on...and also in the New Testament we have: Baptism, Lord's Supper, Pentecost, Deaf-hear, Blind-see, Dead-risen, etc...I could go on and on... Now, I think through your studies you have a pretty good idea what those Physical and Historical Events and Things represent? Now, here is the question, as Christians we are soooooooooo eager to see the symbolism in those things and create traditions to remember them by and to honor them, etc...Isn't it interesting that Jesus being Crucified, "according to all the Christians that acknowedge and embrace the symbolism of the other things I listed", yet when Paul or I suggest that Jesus being Crucified is also a Symbolic (Historical/Redemptive, of course) and a foundational part of True Christianity that "many cry foul/heresy!!!" I could go on to further explain this, but again I think this is more than sufficient, the "implications and proof" is obvious. He that hath an ear, let Him hear" (Matt 11:15) I will make one conclusion for you to "chew on". Could it be as humans (we are Idolaters by nature) that we want all "what we think our the benefits of God", without the "Cost"? Christians readily say, "I want to be like Jesus/Christ"...hmmmm, Jesus was Crucified...enough said... Crucified in HIM, Luis |

5 | Is asking for money false? | 2 John 1:10 | DocTrinsograce | 143717
Dear Luis, Okay, I have to work from the basics up, so to properly understand, I must ask more questions. Thank you for your patience. The word "mammon" is used by Christ in three instances. One of those instances are "no man can serve two masters" (Matthew 6:24 and Luke 16:13). Since Christ was clearly lucid, coherent, and rational, we must assume that if he used the same word again, he meant the same thing. Let me ask, therefore, how your personal revelation interprets the following verses (the other places where Christ uses the word mammon): And I say unto you, Make to yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness; that, when ye fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations. He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much. If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man's, who shall give you that which is your own? (Luke 16:9-12) In Him, Doc |

Greetings Doc, thanks again for your Inquiry. However, I am beat...LOL...I will try to respond to your correspondence, and the two others (and counting...LOL) waiting in my New Mail in the next two days. Although, I think if you reread all my correspondences you will find your answer. However, you did introduce a "New Scripture" and I will address it in the next day or two. Thanks again... Crucified in HIM, Luis I would really like to answer yours now, but "it seemingly will never stop...". Again, as the Lord leads in the next couple of days, I will... |
