Hi CDBJ A few questions for clarification. Why would it have been necessary, and of the utmost importance for Paul, and Peter to have these things understood by the Thessalonians? Were they at the center of the universe, as far as the Christendom was concerned? My point is, why is it so important for "them" to know just how these things are going to take place, if it is "US" who these things will be happening to? Both Paul, and Peter "neglect" to tell the Thessalonians, that these things are not for them personally, but for us 2000 yrs. in the future. Wouldn't that be instilling fear in the hearts of men? But then on the other hand, Jesus Himself did say in. Matt.24:34 Verily I say unto you, (This generation) shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. brackets are mine If these things are for us then why wouldn't there have been a prophesy to us (the church) the same as Daniel was to the Jews.
