Grace doesn't permit what law prohibits. 'Grace does not permit what the law prohibits. "Grace" never signifies the lowering of God's moral demands.' --John MacArthur (www.biblebb.com/files/MAC/obedience.htm) |

I partially agree with John MacArthur's statement ('Grace does not permit what the law prohibits. "Grace" never signifies the lowering of God's moral demands.'). The statement, I think, is based on how God carried out the salvation work through Jesus Christ, of course, by obeying His own sacrificial old testament law. Contrary to MacArthur's statement, I have seen statements like, "Grace has no bound." "Our God is omnipotent and omniscient." I do understand why MacArthur said that and I have no intention of ignoring our God's characters (holy, righteous, just). However, I do not want to put our God in a box. He is capable of anything, is He not? iktoose |
