1 | WAS JESUS FORSAKEN BY HIS FATHER? | Matt 27:46 | Searcher56 | 41016
"My God, My God, why have You FORSAKEN Me" is what Jesus said. So did God forsake Him or not? If He didn't, why did Jesus say this? JUST fulfill Scripture? That would not make sense. God did forsake Him ... but, not as His Son. It was because He was bearing our sins at the time. It was like the lamb sent out to the widerness. |

2 | WAS JESUS FORSAKEN BY HIS FATHER? | Matt 27:46 | EdB | 41036
Searcher The lamb out in the wilderness is a good example. First it was a goat, called the scapegoat and the people believed it carried their sins out away from them into the wilderness. Think about it in whose presence did the goat walk? In God's! God presence is everywhere and it went with that goat into the wilderness. I assure nothing happened to that goat that God did not ordain. Even though it symbolically carried the sins of the people God oversaw its walk. Just as Jesus became the propitiation for our sins God oversaw very step of His walk. EdB |
