no! i think it would be unwise to be confident in my salvation. as we all have things to work on in ourselves. even if we don't offend outwardly (in actions), we still offend inwardly (in thoughts). we must continually strive for improvement, but i am confident, in the hope, that i might be saved! it's the Lord's way of keeping us humble. the more we read (and contemplate), the more we realize that we need work! i hope i am understanding your question. | ||||||

Hello ominous, Nobody will disagree that we need continuous work. However, this does not preclude confidence in salvation. This verse seems very clear to me: 1 John 5:12 (ESV) Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. Steve |
