2 | Jesus Is God, what did Paul speak? | Acts | Jesus Is God | 49073
First lets look in the book of acts and let the Word show us reather then man.In (acts 2)starting with verse 4 we see after the received the Holy Spirit they spoke in tongues.(Acts 10:44-46) the Gentiles spoke in tongues when they received the Spirit. The fact is every time some one received the Spirit baptism they did speek in tongues. Most will agree this did happen in the bible. But many more well deney it happens to day.But that would make God a respector of person. All ready to day on this sight the verse 1cor13:8 was given to try and prove it was done away with. But just two verses down you well see, lets look at it,1corin.13:8"love never faileth:butwhether there be prophecies, they shall fail;whether there be tongues, they shall cease;whether there be knowledge,it shall vanish away.for we know in part, and we prophesy in part.but when that which is perfect(Jesus) come, then that which is in part (prophecies, tongues, and knowledge)shall be done away.So if tongues is done, then KNOWELDGE is gone and that means we are with Jesus.Well I dont think thats the case.Truth is The book of Acts is the begening of the Church Age.And How they was filled with the Holy Ghost is how we are.I don't know you are your back ground. But I feel that if you read the book of Acts you well see that this tongues was indeed the sign of the holy ghost.(1stcor:14:22)In the book of corinthians Paul writes to the Church to tell them Tongues is great, (1cor:14:16-17)He also told the Corinthians church how to use there gift.See they was all speaking in tongues and nothing was understood, then paul he was there teacher and was telling them about the gifts of the Spirit. And he said,Forbid not to speak in tongues,(cor14:39)Tongues are so great paul wrote,"speaking in tongues edifieth"(cor14:4)Paul said when you pray in tongues your Spirit prays.(cor.14:14)Paul clames he spoke in tongues very much.(cor.14:18)Let the Spirit of The Only True God guide you our lord Jesus.

4 | Jesus if God, what did Paul speak? 2 | Acts | RAVEN | 49099
This shold help with what tongues were spoken. The Crowd's Response 5 And there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men, FROM EVERY NATION UNDER HEAVEN. They spoke (unlike what people clam today or can prove) a true language. Not just babbling! Read on because everyone heard them speak IN HIS OWN LANGUAGE. 7Then they were all amazed and marveled, saying to one another, "Look, are not all these who speak Galileans? 8And how is it that WE HEAR, EACH IN OUR OWN LANGUAGE IN WHICH WE WERE BORN? This is somthing that NO toungue speaker today can claim or prove. This was truly a gift of God and was done to proclaim Jesus was the Christ, which resulted in the begining of the church. Raven |

5 | Jesus if God, what did Paul speak? 2 | Acts | Morant61 | 49108
Greetings Raven! One point which seem to get overlooked alot about Acts 2:8 is that the miracles appears to have been one of hearing, not speaking. Verse 8 says that each heard in his own language. So, it is difficult to prove from this verse whether or nor real languages were being spoken, but real languages were definitely being heard. Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
