There is a difference between being UNABLE to work and UNWILLING to work. In this case, Jesus did not do many mighty works there, because of the unbelief on the part of the Nazarenes. It is not that the people were sovereign over God, but that God sovereignly chose to withhold His mighty works. You have not demonstrated yet how the entire region in the Acts passage was under the sway of Simon's sorcery. --Joe! |

The context say's they were bewiched by Simon for a lond period of time, they all from the least to the greatest, gave regard unto him, saying he was the great power of God. God can do whatever he wants whenever he wants. Evidently he wants the church to carry out his purposes at this time, with the Holy Spirit enableing us to do it. |
