1 | Homosexuality and Christianity? | Leviticus | Hank | 29133
gpaulturner: I'm frankly confused about your post. Are we to understand from it that you are attempting to say that the Bible endorses homosexuality or, at least, does not condemn it? Is the implication being made that the love between David and Jonathan was sexual love? As others have also requested, I too ask that you add more clarity and foundational Scriptural references in subsequent posts. What are the "three great expressive love stories in the Bible" and why do you call the "straight one" fictional? --Hank
2 | Homosexuality and Christianity? | Leviticus | Emmaus | 29293
Hank, This whole thread and the concept of homosexuality not being condemened in scripture or being being misinterpreted scripture is what I call a Tar Baby The conversation will go nowhere. The whole concept in in complete contradiction to the entire history of exegesis in Christian and Jewish history. We may as well talk about how adultery has been misinterpreted as sin and so on along the same line. It is absurd. The possibilities of this type of thinking are endless but they do lead to a bad end. Emmaus |
