Subject: Rapture....timing? |
Bible Note: Hi God's-elect, I appreceate Your graceful responce very much, thank you.... Just another thought though.... here is something I wrote to a friend, on the study of escotology. 'Like I've said though I don't know for sure when but I'm not really worried at all what worries me is. Am I doing all I can t get the Word out? What's Jesus going to say to me when I stand before him? What's up Johnny boy? What have you been up to? Hmm?.... If the rapture was today, ... I'd be ashamed! ... So many Christians are living for the rapture, or whatever the future may bring, ... Jesus said to live for today, cos it has enough trouble of its own, ... or something like that. That was Bible 101 from John boy! ;-) " "It seems you are interested in eschatology, as it seems are most people. Personally, I think that as we gain a full understanding of the whole counsel of scripture, then can we see the revelation with more of the spirit that it was given to us. i.e. the spirit of love that God has for His Church. When we have the fullness of the spirit, it will be given to us, the understanding of HOW God intends to carry out His judgment, and not so much the WHEN he is going to do it. This to me is the point of revelation, and I believe, we should be prepared to hear the voice of God, at any moment. Like the voice of an Archangel, and like the sound of a trumpet. Come up here!" What will you say to him? I'm going to say baaaaa. ;-) You know? like a sheep? :-) Eph 4:1 Therefore I, the prisoner of the Lord, implore you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called, 2 with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing tolerance for one another in love, 3 being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all. 7 But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ's gift. 8 Therefore it says, "WHEN HE ASCENDED ON HIGH, HE LED CAPTIVE A HOST OF CAPTIVES, AND HE GAVE GIFTS TO MEN."
