Subject: Could there be more? |
Bible Note: Hi CDBJ, Sorry for the delay. As I wrote earlier, it's hard to find the words to express it. Paul wrote "…for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances." Philippians 4:11 (New International Version) This is as close as I can come to explaining it scripturally. I know that it requires me surrendering my will to God's will for my life. The peace and joy are suffocated when I try to make things happen on my own versus allowing God the control. This is something I struggle with daily. I have only been "born again" for about two years now and I have many old habits that need to be broken. However, each day that goes by is better than the day before. And each day that I allow the Lord to work in my life my peace and joy seem to get stronger. I know that when I distance myself from God: i.e. not reading The Word, not praying, not reflecting on His will: I become miserable, life seems impossible, frustration increases, tensions takes over, and peace and joy are no where to be found. However, the peace and joy are quicker and quicker to return as I learn more quickly to look for contentment from the love of God within: not in the outside circumstances. I hope this answers your question: God Bless: AIT |
