Subject: What does Lo-debar mean in Hebrew? |
Bible Note: mkm9 I understand the concept! I also see it being established on faulty reasoning. The Balm of Gilead was the creation of man, was no able to heal what Gilead needed healed, it was birthed in self reliance and idol worship. Jesus is not the Balm "of" Gilead He is the healing balm "to" Gilead and the whole world. Jesus is able to heal and bring restoration to our lives. He is not the creation of man but the rock of ages, ancient of days, Son of God, and the one that brings life where once there was none. Therefore to me the connection of Jesus to the Balm of Gilead is nothing more than a songwriter playing loosely with the truth of scripture to make a song work.. I find that distasteful. This is often the case and I pray people would display more discernment before they so willing accept and sing so called Christian songs. EdB |
