Subject: Can Satin read our minds?Chaser. |
Bible Note: Janae I'm Pentecostal and I know in the Pentecostal circle it is often taught that praying in tongues insures Satan can't know what we are praying. However no where in scripture is this idea supported or even suggestted. It appears to be man's idea of what is taking place. It may be accurate but it also may be nothing more that man's imagination. I agree that people are more spiritual than others but again there is absolutely no proof that anyone can see into the spiritual realm. That said let me also say God can and does reveal things to people however in every example we have of this in scripture shows it to be a limited and very rare experience. While many people claim this ability but in fact they are taking the evidence that is visible and putting two and two together and coming up with four. I agree demons are real but they are not omnipresent meaning they can't be everywhere. Yet we are frequently tempted. Paul said it was a battle of the flesh. Notice in the New Testament most discussions of sin don't mention Satan or demons but rather flesh and our need to control or crucify our flesh. Further we are children of God, saved by the blood. Satan can try to handicapp us, to impede us, but scripture says he can't remove us from the hand of Jesus. However we can allow our flesh to lead us into the temptation Satan has placed before us. That is why James tells us to submit to God and resist Satan. Many quote the resist part and ignore the submit part. James 4:7 (NKJV) 7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. I hope this helps in some way EdB |
