Subject: Can Satin read our minds?Chaser. |
Bible Note: Greetings He-man! Let's touch upon Heb. 2:14! The word translated as 'destroy' does not mean 'cease to exist' in Heb. 2:14. It means to 'make ineffective' or 'to nullify'. Satan clearly still exists after the death of Christ. Here are some of the references that still speak of his existence after the death of Christ. Eph. 4:27 commands Christians not to give the Devil a foothold. This would be meaningless if the Devil no longer existed. 2 Tim. 2:26 speaks of praying for those who have been taken captive by the Devil. This would be meaningless if the Devil no longer existed. James 4:7 tells us to resist the Devil. This would be meaningless if the Devil no longer existed. 1 Pet. 5:8 tells us that the Devil prowls (present tense) around like a lion seeking whom he may devour. This would be meaningless if the Devil no longer existed. Rev. 2:10 says that some will be put in prison by the Devil. This would be meaningless if the Devil no longer existed. Rev. 20:20 speaks of the Devil being thrown into the lake of fire at the last judgement. This would be meaningless if the Devil no longer existed. So, do you really want to argue that the Devil no longer exists? Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
