Bible Note: Janae I think you attribute to much to the ability of Satan and his demons. In the passage Matthew 8:30-32 (NKJV) 30 Now a good way off from them there was a herd of many swine feeding. 31 So the demons begged Him, saying, "If You cast us out, permit us to go away into the herd of swine." 32 And He said to them, "Go." So when they had come out, they went into the herd of swine. And suddenly the whole herd of swine ran violently down the steep place into the sea, and perished in the water. We see the demons didn't know the swine would run over the cliff and drown, they were unable to tell the future. You said this is how fortune tellers work and your right in many cases they use familar spirits but only to report your past. However if a person knows your recent past they can usually closely predict your near future. Also many times people react to the fortune tellers suggestion. By that I mean if fortune tell tells them, "I see a tall dark man in your life." Most people that go to a fortune teller will from that point on only look for tall dark men and sure enough will probably bring one into their life. There is nothing in any scripture that tells us praying in tongues is so Satan can't hear us. Further there is nothing in scripture that suggests Satan can use anything he does hear in our prayers to God. Personally I believe once a person is in Christ Satan can't cross the blood line. I think the battle in a saved persons life is more a battle contolling the flesh and perhaps circumstances set up by Satan. EdB |
