Subject: What is the people sin? |
Bible Note: Dear confused I don’t know if you are still reading but let me offer you a new perspective. You asked, “Why did God create us in a cruel world with the chance of being lost?” Now I hope you are sincere in asking this and not just out to have Christians question their faith. For now I will see this as a honest question. I work all day with people trading stocks and the biggest problem I have with answering questions is people ask all the wrong questions. The other day someone called in and said, “What are you people doing to my account, do you know how much money I have lost.” The answer here, what ever it would be, would be wrong to the client because they were unwilling to take any responsibility for there choices. Did you ask to be created, no? Nor did your parents ask you to bring you into the world where you are destine to someday die, yet do you blame them in any way? To me as a Christian is not why God would do such a terrible thing, but why would God love us so much after we have done so much against Him. Now to try and answer the question why would God create something that He would know could or would become evil. I feel this can be answered by the passage that says God is Love. Corinthians chapter 13 gives us the greatest definition of Love ever. Please read this passage below and ask your self a question: If God did not give us the option to love Him would He truly be a loving GOD? 1 Cor 13:4 ff Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. To me when I see this passage I see I God who says, “I love you please love me back.” Now we have all chose at some point to not love God and to love other things more and that is called sin. We are all guilty of Spiritual adultery. Is God responsible for our shortcomings? No, because we have made our choice. Now lets look at our definition of Love again. Love does not take into account a wrong suffered, Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. You see God still believes great things about us despite our shortcomings. He has not held our sin against us, endured our unfaithfulness, and boar the responsibility for our sins on the cross even though it was not His responsibility. So instead of asking, How could God do such a horrible thing to me, you might want to ask how could God love me so much? I hope this brings you some peace |
