Bible Question (short): 1 Thes 5:21, Test All Things |
Question (full): Dear lionheart, Thank you for responding. I'm puzzeled that you feel I am deceiving this forum. I don't understand. I have always maintained that I am a seeker of truth. I believe only what is true. How can you worship God if not in truth? Are you opposed to rational scrutiny? How can anyone who believes in truth be opposed to the opportunity to let truth prevail? How does a person's character influence the outcome of what is true and what is false. What does it matter if I am vincoblazo or pukalanian, Mormon or Catholic, black or white, Thiest or Christian, male or female, Hindu or Moslem? God is the creator of all. Col 3:11, "but Christ is all and in all." He is just as much in me as in everyone else. All that matters about posting is the discovery of truth. For the truth, although painful and hard to accept at times, is extremely liberating. 1 Thess 5:21, "Test all things, hold fast what is good." Is there something wrong with that? Proverbs 14:15, "The simple believes every word, but the prudent considers well his steps." When I post to this forum I am only seeking truth. Every elder I have known throughout my life has agreed that we never stop learning. The older we get the more we discover how little we know. Even the long held presummed truths of old have been replaced with new discoveries. For over 5000 years most of the world believed the earth was flat. Just look at how much better off the world became when those sailing explorers sought the truth and discovered that falling off the earths ocean was not possible. Now we see through the eyes of satelites and telescopes how awesomely magnificent God is to have created such a universe. If you feel what I am posting are lies, then please show me. God is good, God is great, God is perfect, He is not the author of confusion. Thank you for understanding, pukalanian |
