Bible Question: As Christians we are called to be a light, to live so others see the difference in us compared to the way of the world. What do you think about Christians who have movie stations like HBO etc. Some Christians do not have television because of the offensive nature of many programs. What is a Christian response to these issues? |
Bible Answer: I don’t even know what the HBO stuff is but if Arid extra, extra, day doesn’t work on it, it must be a gray issues concerning what is right or wrong and it is pretty well covered in the following Romans 14:1-23 All I can personally say is don’t get hooked on the do’s and don’ts that some so highly emphasize in the Christian way of life. I’ve been down that road and all it does is make one so heavenly holy that he ends up being no earthly good. As a result people will avoid you like one that has come down with the bubonic plague. Galatians 5:1 It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery. Again; Romans 14:16 Let not then your good be evil spoken of: I think we should follow the high values an standards that an ambassador tries to impart while representing his county in a strange land. 2 Cor. 5:20 (A) Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, Col. 3:17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
