Bible Question (short): Who chose the New Testament books? |
Question (full): If this has been a topic of discussion before I couldn’t find it. I have not studied this lately, but if my understanding is correct, the first complete compilation of the books of the New Testament as we know it was done during the fourth century A.D. during the reign of Constantine. There were a number of writings that were not accepted into the New Testament at the time. Weren’t those men who ultimately selected these books or writings, Catholics? Bendiciones! Aspilos |
