Subject: What month was Jesus born in? |
Bible Note: I believe the Law is summed up in love. Love of God and love of thy neighbor. I believe, no, I know, that when that is truly recognized and adhered to, that there is nothing so inconsequential as to a particular day of worship for our Lord that should seem offensive or contrary to another brothers belief. In the love we share of one another, the petty differences should be set aside and our focus should be on Christ. You can’t be looking up while you are looking down. And when you keep your focus down here, on ritual days, or things that shouldn’t be, you risk missing the prize, the glory that shines above. If in your heart, you feel so strongly, or in your spiritual growth you feel weakened, by the fact that some consider one day this and another day that, you must bear in mind, that every day is the Lord’s. Man holds no sovereignty over the days any more than we grasp control of our own salvation. Don’t be offended brother when someone wants to hold another day in higher regard when they do so for the One that will save them and the One that will save you. So to end my discussion, let me add just this: You are not being forced to worship Christ on any day, you should want to, out of love, every day, regardless of what or whom has attempted to make of a particular day. But on the other hand, you should not be forcing your opinions regarding the days on those who choose to worship at any given time. They worship the Lord, the very One who created the days. And as long as that is the case, neither you nor I are wrong. WOS |
