Subject: What month was Jesus born in? |
Bible Note: My point is, there is much the Bible doesn't speak to. If you use the argument "I don't do something because the Bible doesn't speak of it", and actually live to that, then you're either a hermit living in a cave somewhere, or you are not really living to that standard. We have a conscience, a God given conscience, that we need to be able to use. We must be discerning if we claim to belong to God and yet live in fleshy world. I know good and well where Christmas originated my friend. However, I choose to worship Christ on this day, I do not chase after pagan gods. Now if you really mean to inform me that simply because the Roman Church used December 25th to mark a celebration of the incarnation of our Lord in an attempt to gain pagan peoples, and that seems to be true, and because of that I can’t worship Christ on that day, you are surely mistaken. Evil triumphs on any day in which we feel it is improper to honor our God. I worship Christ on Christmas day as I will any day and there is none that can take that from me. So you mean to tell me, that on December 25th, you pay no homage to Christ? I’m sure that is not to His satisfaction. It seems to me that it would be more of an insult to Him to feel there is a day in which we should not honor the Lord. By the way, one should be grateful this day and age to get a “merry” anything, its not often many are willing to extend a greeting of good cheer. WOS |
