God Bless you.. i have met someone who says like that " i will believe in God when i am about to die after i will enjoy this world " so could you tell me... is it possible to believe in God when we are about to die after enjoy life if bible mentions about this case tell me where... have a nice day. |
Bible Answer: This is the central question of the Christian faith. It is the condition of all human persons. We think that to enjoy life is to live separated from God. In fact, He (Jesus) has come that we might have life, and have it to the full. How do you explain that to the unsaved. I would say, if one is of God, then God will work in the life of this person so that they will ultimately come to the cross having grown tired of sinning (the parable of the prodigal son). If they are not of God, then they will die in their sins. To die in one's sins means to be judged and sent into the lake of fire, where there is weaping and gnashing of teeth, eternal separation from God. Christ's atoning death for us on the Cross saves all who believe in Him from this eternity, which is quite real, do not doubt. Jesus speaks to the Churches in Revelation of the Nicolaitans - He hates them. According to one reference I used, the Nicolaitans were (are, let's face it) a class of professing Christians who sought to introduce into the church a false freedom of licentiousness, thus abusing Paul's doctrine of grace. In other words, you, me, and your friend must choose this day whom we will serve - do we choose God and life and blessings, or the devil, death and curses. Do we choose eternal life with Christ, or eternal death without Christ in the lake of fire, where there is weaping and gnashing of teeth. Sin is a wretched business. It starts as a gentle slip, a tiny compromise, and quickly one is down a sharp and icy incline that is harder and harder to turn back from. Shame, guilt, pride, inner turmoil, anguish, addictions, can all lead one to say to the world that they are truly happier living outside of God's holiness. In fact, most sinners drench their beds with tears, and can look at their lives and count the cost of their "enjoyment of this world". Jesus said that in the last days the love of many would grow cold because of wickedness. This is the era we live in right now. People are so cold, they cannot imagine how loving God is. So, they stay trapped in their sins. And, those who come to Christ, or preach Christ, often do so in a watered down manner. Therefore, I will speak boldly to your friend. There is no part of us that He cannot touch. And having touched us with His healing love, there is no part of us left. All we have, all we are, and all we can ever become are His, because He has ransomed us from the pit of hell by the power of his atoning sacrifice on the Cross. He can circumcise your heart. He can make the crooked path straight. He can make all things new. Yes, you can love again. |
