Subject: How I do to stop sinning? |
Bible Note: Dear John. I was reading that portion from 1 John. It was good! Thanks for sharing! I also wish that my joy may be full. Verse 6 says "If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth" So if we sin, we are in darkness....a pathetic place to be.... But the next verse is a mystery! "But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin." So if we walk in the light (ie, without committing sin), then Jesus will cleanse us from all sin that is inside us. So that we can be free of committing "active sin" (i read this word earlier). Verse 10 - yes I have commited sin in the past. If I deny that, then I make God a liar, and say that I don't need any salvation....there is nothing wrong with me......no no...i won't do that! I know the things wrong with me. Verse 8 "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us." This is very true. I know that there is sin within me, trying to manifest itself when I am tempted. I may, for instance, be in comma. I may not do anything externally. But I have the potential to commit sin, when I come out of the comma. Something like, if I get the right opportunity i have the potential to sin. I hope that God will give me more light and help me to live a life without any sin...absolutely nothing. I long for that life. |
