Subject: are kids saved if their parents are |
Bible Note: One of my children, when she was a teenager, came up to me one day and said (Dad just what do we believe). I told her that I am not sure what she believed but I know what I believe. I know what I have told you with reference to what the Bible teaches about Jesus but how do I know if you truly believe it. There again the Bible teaches that by their fruits you shall know them. If just being born into the family of a believer did the trick, as it were, we wouldn't have the story about two brothers on the opposite sides of the fence, the brothers being Esau and Jacob. Every individual has to make the biggest decision that they will ever make in this life and that is to (personally) believe in the person of the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior or reject him, this isn't a family matter. John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: God doesn't say anything about having grandchildren, everyone that personally believes in God's Son Jesus, is a child of God. Romans 8:15-17 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 16The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: 17And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. Notice is doesn't say grandfather the word Abba actually mean daddy in the English. I hope this explain my short post, CDBJ |
