Subject: Why did Jesus have to beborn of a virgin |
Bible Note: This is just my speculation but it seems to me that God chose to bring Jesus into this world through a woman to redeem the role that the first woman accomplished in falling for the lie in the first place. Jesus could not come into this world with a human father so that He would carry original sin as the sin was Adam's - he was not deceived [1 Timothy 2:14] but the woman, though deceived, started the whole thing. Since that time women were under a specific curse whereby they were under the man. Now I am not speaking in terms of women's liberation or anything, but in western society, where the base is Christianity, woman enjoy a certain freedom. This is because Christ, born of a woman, has lifted us from the curse. Other societies in Asia, for example, where the philosophy of Christianity is not very influential, the women are subserviant, sometimes no more than a possession in terms of their status in society. As for South and Central America, though mostly Christian, their Christianity is very diluted with pagan and occult practices which nullify or certainly dilute the influence of the Spirit of God in their societies. Anyway, Christ was born of a woman, making Him truly a man; and His Father is THE FATHER by the Holy Spirit, because HE IS GOD, THE SON, OUR CREATOR. Women were originally created as a helpmate, alongside [I believe that is why Eve was taken from Adam's side, and not his foot - for example]but because of the curse, women have suffered a very demeaning role...unless the Spirit of the Lord is present in the society, then there is liberty [2 Cor. 3:17]. Hope this is helpful. |
