Subject: Call those things that are not |
Bible Note: Dear Mother, Happy New Year! I wanted to respond to what you said, "I have no idea where else to turn or how to study the Bible to get what I need". The Bible is the most incredible, inexhaustible book in the whole world. Fifty people could read the same chapter of any given book and come up with different interpretations of what they had just read. The Bible is personally written to you, to me and to all of God's other children who choose to understand the true Father and want to understand His will and what and how He would have us. In Ephesians 4:25-27 we are told that Jesus(the Bridegroom) loved the church(the bride) and gave Himself up for her and that He would present her to Himself glorious with no spots, wrinkles or any other such things, to be holy without blemish. The way to be presented without any blemish or spot is given in verse 26 of the same book and chapter we are told that HE would have us sanctified and washed with (spiritual)water by the word, His words, the Living Word which is the (spiritual)living water that we shall never thirst again(John 4:10) if we drink of it. In 2Timothy 2:15 we are told to study to show ourselves approved and in Eph 5:1 we are told to be followers of God as His children, because His children we are. Anyways, your words touched my heart and I sense you are seeking to understand and for this I have great joy and hope for you. Recently I was reading the book of Jeremiah and in Jer 17:5 it says cursed is anyone who trusts in man, who depends on flesh for his strength whose heart turns away form the Lord, this is why I will listen to people on the radio or TV and on the internet, but ultimately I only goto the Bible. If I don't understand I pray, meditate and read again and again until God allows me to understand. This is really tough at times because I don't have much patience and I know God knows this to be true and is one of the lessons I am receiving. I am sure your experience is different than mine because we are all unique and bring different gifts to the table which help each other grow in faith. Keep searching and you will find Him. Bless you, Love Fountain |
