Bible Note: Joe, in the opening pages of "Mere Christianity" C.S.Lewis makes a couple of interesting points about the 'Law about Right and Wrong' as he calls it. These are the two points he makes. (1) That human beings all over the earth have this curious idea that they ought to behave in a certain way, and cannot really get rid of it and (2) that they do not in fact behave in that way. "They know the Law (of Nature or Right and Wrong)" Lewis says, "but they break it. These two facts are the foundation of all clear thinking about ourselves and the universe we live in."....... I think what Lewis is saying is consistent with what Paul is saying in Romans 2:14,15. Perhaps scientists today would call it DNA. So be it. We know who made the DNA, don't we? --Hank |
