Subject: The Rapture, when will it be? |
Bible Note: There are several reasons for this misunderstanding pertaining to the prphetic message. One is that many churches are infected with God-dishonoring and bible-unbelieving liberalism. They are also ignorant or adverse to the prophetic importance of Israel. Many pastors and ministries today have been sadly reduced to nothing more than glorified psychologists who try to make people feel good and meet their emotional needs instead of proclaiming the Word of God with power, conviction and passion. Unlike ten or twenty years ago, the teaching of Bible prophecy has fallen by the wayside because many church circles have deemed that it has little, if any, practical value for today. But Bible prophecy does have practical value. It builds our faith in the sovereignty of God, who holds the future in His hands. The return of Christ challenges us to live in holy expectation of His coming (John 3:1-3). Certainly, prophecy also is a tool of witnessing. The Bible is the only book that accurately forecasts the future and this can be shown by informed teachers and testifiers. The striking prophetic fulfillment of the Jews returning to the land of Israel in our century is one such faith-inspiring prophetic fulfillment. The generally bad condition of the world and the relationship between nations-the famine, pestilence, earthquakes, and so many other prophetic issues can cogently be understood through knowledge of Biblical prophecy. The unbeliever, and or ignorent Christian made familiar with what Scripture predicted for these times may be convicted by the very relevance of the Bible texts on prophecy. And then there is the support of Israel, which is a biblically based mandate for every Christian. All other nations were created by an act of men, but God Himself established the boundaries of the nation of Israel. God gave to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob a covenant of land that was eternally binding, and it’s recorded in the book of Genesis. God also told Abraham that He would make Abraham’s descendants into a great nation and through them He would bless all the families of the earth. aaaaaaaaany one intrested in wanting to open their minds and hart to Gods word should look at it in a litteal sence. And futher study on prophecy i would personally recomend several books on prophecy by Tim LayHaye and especially some book and DVD's by John Hagee ministries.I'm totally Frustrated but not surprised by how many Christians choose not to believe in biblical prophecy. You ether believe in the righen word of God or you don’t. The entire book of the bible, not just bits and pieces of it. I would like to know why we have a tendency to believe in the stories of the bible, such as Gods creation story, Adam and Eve, the flood, the tower of babble, the story of Moses, the story of Christ, birth teachings, death resurrection etc, etc, etc, but when it come to events that have not accrued but were prophesied to, we have a tendency to doubt or not to believe. We even start to start label Prophecy believers as dispensationalist. In Crist, by the way, he also Prophecied end times. Tony |
