Subject: The Rapture, when will it be? |
Bible Note: (. . . There is also the new theory of No Rapture.) What was the No Rapture theory before there was a rapture theory??? Out of all the times I've read the Bible, I've never noticed any mention of there being a rapture. So forgive me if I offend, which I know I will, but maybe the devil is just trying to get people to twist God's word, a little here, a little there...now you have people adding to the text, and writing books on "their interpretation" of the scripture, (which lots of people will read instead of reading the Bible), and believing in a thing called the rapture...next thing you know the devil will have people convinced you don't need to be baptized...oh wait... One more point and I’ll stop here, you need to remember the devil is very smart and knowledgeable of the Bible. What better way to ‘win’ people to hell, then to get inside the church, and lead many astray by letting people think they are saved… 2 Pet. 3:8-13 8 " But do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day. 9 The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance. 10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up. 11 Since all these things are to be destroyed in this way, what sort of people ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, 12 looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be destroyed by burning, and the elements will melt with intense heat! 13 But according to His promise we are looking for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells." 2 Pet 1:20 [Yet] first [you must] understand this, that no prophecy of Scripture is [a matter] of any personal or private or special interpretation (loosening, solving). 2 Pet 1:21 For no prophecy ever originated because some man willed it [to do so--it never came by human impulse], but men spoke from God who were borne along (moved and impelled) by the Holy Spirit. |
