Subject: Can salvation be lost? |
Bible Note: Country Girl, Scripture says, (Romans 6:23) "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord". God is Holy and cannot look upon sin. We by our very nature are sinful, and according to you subject to lose our salvation at any time. Scripture says that if we say that we sin not we are a liar and the truth is not in us. I think you will agree with me that we all sin. James 4:17 says "Therefore, To him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin." Every time the Spirit of God speakes to you to do Gods will and you ignored it you would need to be saved again. James 2:10 says "For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all." Sin separates us from God, and if we think we can keep ourselves saved, we are wrong. My question to you is how many times have you been saved today? Because the thinking that you present requires a continual effort that is beyond human ability. Every sin would require you to repent, then get saved once more. So I ask, how many times have you been saved today? And now is your being saved a result of the finished work of Jesus Christ, or your own ability to keep saved? Country Girl you would be getting saved several times each day. Remember when you first accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior, and how that felt? Do you feel like that when you repent for not doing Gods will, or for that bad thought you had about someone? Why would you not declare before the Church and/or your friends that you were saved again and again in any given day? In love Jal |
