AMPLIFIED 2015 | Jude 1:5 ¶ Now I want to remind you, although you are fully informed once for all, that the Lord, after saving a people out of the land of Egypt, subsequently destroyed those who did not believe [who refused to trust and obey and rely on Him]. [Num 14:27-37] |
Subject: Can salvation be lost? |
Bible Note: I would submit that the only way of being confident of our salvation is after a lifetime of studying God's Word, obeying what we read and maturing in a close spiritual relationship with our Lord. I've lived quite a few years and I've only known a small handful with that kind of confidence as cited in 1 John. But I do think it's attainable by anyone who devotes himself as mentioned above. But if it were easy, then that would go counter to our Lord's Words about the straight and narrow gate to Heaven vs. broad and wide road to Hell, wouldn't it? Blessings to you. Country Girl |
