Subject: Please explain matt 23:8-12

Bible Note: Thank you newlife, I agree with you. We can only trust what the Bible says. I do feel frustrated at all the "godly" people who don't walk by the Word. It seems that people ignore the Word of God for thier own understanding. I feel that matt 23:8-12 is an example of this. Of course we are to humble ourselves. That is what Jesus says in verse 12. Verses 8-11, however, say not to call anybody rabbi(pastor), father, master. Is it ok to ignore this because we feel in our hearts that it is ok to call people pastor or father.
