Bible Question: Hello Brother Glenn, I m not currently a member of the Jehovah Witnesses. I have study with them. I have studied with the Mormons. I was baptised as a baptist. I spent many years in a non-denominational church. There are many people who are like the false witnesses spoken of in mt 26:60-61. They say thing about the Jehovah Witnesses that they really dont know any thing about. And, I will say that in all my searching, they are walking closer to the bible than any other group. You talked of Jacob seeing God. I read this too. What does John 1:18 mean? and in acts 7:30 Stephen says that an Angel of the Lord appeared to Moses. Is God also an Angel? Haggar talked with the Angel of the Lord. This Angel had the authority to multiply her descendants exceedingly. (gen 16:7-13) God is spirit John 4:24. As far having eternal security, phil 2:12 tells me to work out my salvation with fear and trembling. If all of our sins past, present and future have already been forgiven, why would we need to confess them has 1 John 1:9 states. I believe that the council of Nicea is a major heresy (leaven) that has corrupted the church. Also please see the notes on this web site concerning 1 John 5:7. That teaching comes from the council of nicea and has levened the whole loaf to the point of this verse being added to the Bible and worse people saying it is ok because it is the truth. Is it?

Yes it is happenning by Anti-Christ groups like the Jehovahs witnesses. I will try to explain.

Deep impact, please pay close attention to 1 John 4. It tells us who are closer to the bible ways. Ask yourself why it speaks of those that confess that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. Ask yourself why the Son of Man could forgive sins. Ask why He was Lord of the Sabbath. Why would He be allowed to wear the title of “King of Kings and Lord of Lords“.

Mat 26:60 But found none: yea, though many false witnesses came, yet found they none. At the last came two false witnesses,
Mat 26:61 And said, This fellow said, I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to build it in three days.

1. They deny the deity of Christ. The false witnesses of Mat 26:60 are of anti-Christ spirit. The Jehovah’s witnesses are anti-Christ also for the same reason that is spoken of in 1John 4, as well as, 1Cor 12:3.

1Corinthians 12:3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.

2. They also deny the personhood of the Holy Ghost. Why would blasphemy against the Holy Ghost be unpardonable if He is not a person.

3. They deny everlasting punishment of the wicked.
