Bible Note: Quote:But, we have no relationship whatsoever with the Mosaic Law as Christians, to do so in any way makes us slaves again and is a rejection of grace. Somebody should have told the Apostles, because I see the 10 Commandments in the NT alive and well. Paul continued to teach and observe the feasts days. Love your neighbor is from Lev. taking care of the poor, widows and orphans, mercy and faith, All come from the Law. Mat 23:23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. Act 17:29 Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device. Jas 2:7 Do not they blaspheme that worthy name by the which ye are called? Rom 13:9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Act 13:42 And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath. Act 13:44 And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God. Act 16:13 And on the sabbath we went out of the city by a river side, where prayer was wont to be made; and we sat down, and spake unto the women which resorted thither. Act 18:4 And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks. |
