Bible Note: Hi, Tim Moran! Thank you for your recap! I believe that we are on the same trek... it is just our immediate perspectives that offer us variant views... The point I was making with the example of the early Church is that we do not always find Biblical text that will provide a blanket exclusion/inclusion of doctrinal practices (Salvation only to those who have been preached and intellectually accepted/believed in Christ)... being narratives or imperatives the text in Scripture will always have deeper meanings than what man's intellect can comprehend... it is the Holy Spirit that reveals the fullness of the Word... and as you said, He will always reveal to us only what is complementary to Scripture for there is only One Gospel and One Spirit!
