Subject: did jesus go to hell |
Bible Note: Whoa!!!!! That is not what I said at all! I said there is a place called Hell or Hades. It is described as having two sides one a hot dry place the abode of the unrighteous and the other side called Abraham's bosom or paradise the abode of the righteous that died before Christ. That side is now empty since Jesus emptied it and took the rigtheous to heaven with him. The lake of fire as seen in Rev 20 and 21 is very real and is anything but folklore. It will be the place where Satan and the unrighteous dead will be tormented forever. When Paul or Jesus talks about resurrection they are talking about the time when the dead bodies will reunited with their spirits, a time when we will receive or immortal or perfected bodies. Right now the spirit is what resides either heaven with Jesus or in Hades awaiting judgement. What you citing may be your own study but it is a real close copy of what Jehovah Witnesses teach. EdB |
