Subject: did jesus go to hell |
Bible Note: So Jesus parable about Lazarus (not Mary's and Martha's brother) should be taken in a literal sense that there is a visual connection between heaven and hell and that Abraham (the father of faith) is there receiving those who die in the faith? And when Jesus talks about the lakes of fire (hell) he is only reflecting on the Jewish folklore and appealing to their fear? And when Martha mentioned that she knew that her brother, Lazarus, would be raised on the last day, Jesus did not bother to correct her misinterpretation of "when" we'll be resurrected? And when Paul talks about those who died in the Lord will be raised first, he just means the ones who just died during that day of our Lord's Second Coming? I can't cite a refernce point--except from my own personal Bible studies. God Bless! |
