NASB | Hebrews 6:6 and then have fallen away, it is impossible to renew them again to repentance, since they again crucify to themselves the Son of God and put Him to open shame. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Hebrews 6:6 and then have fallen away--it is impossible to bring them back again to repentance, since they again nail the Son of God on the cross [for as far as they are concerned, they are treating the death of Christ as if they were not saved by it], and are holding Him up again to public disgrace. |
Bible Question: Thanks again for your response. I appreciate it. I'm studying it further. In the meantime, I'm going to reask the question so that it will come back up in the question queue and others will (hopefully) answer. OK, all you NASB Greek scholars out there (you know who you are), who are these 'partakers of the Holy Spirit that fall from grace and can't be brought back to repentance? |
Bible Answer: For it is impossible. To come back into the body of Christ, for once in his hand you cannot come out.Christs sacrifice is once and for all you cant put him back on the cross. The first time you entered into a realationship with him was for all time,if your truly saved. This is for believers they cant come to their original repentence for thats been done , however they can come back into realationship. buy asking foregivness of their sin, he is sure and just and will forgive us our sin. where does it say that they had fallen from grace. We never did anything to obtain it , and theres nothing we can do to maintain it, thats works. love in Christ RCScroll |
