Subject: More on faith? |
Bible Note: Dear LJ77, Yes, I'm still around. It sounds as though you have some concerns about if God has given up on you and the answer is a resounding NO WAY! Every Christian can give examples of where they felt a little bit - or maybe a lot - of distance between them and God at some point or another. The comment I remember hearing a million years ago from a dear friend was this: If you're not feeling very close to God . . . guess who moved? I always remembered that, LJ. At least you are being honest about it and that you believe you caused this and the only sad thing is that thought the devil puts in your minds saying, There's no hope for you, pal. You've crossed the line. You and God are finished. It's a lie, LJ. It's a lie. You surely can start over again. The good thing about God is that He said in 1 Jn. 1:9 that if you stand before him in faith and confess your sins to Him that He is both faithful and just. He will forgive your sins and then restore you right back to complete righteousness. You will then be able to stand in His presence without sin and talk to Him as your Father - not a servant - but as His precious son - or daughter! . Do that okay? Just sit down and say, Lord, I repent of all this garbage and I'm sorry for disappointing You, Sir. I thank you for your mercy and for your forgiveness. I thank You that at this moment I am forgiven of everything I have done and that I am right now as righteous as Jesus is righteous. Then talk to Him, LJ. Talk to Him and tell Him what's on your heart. Believe me, LJ, this won't be the first time He heard about your sin or your thoughts. He knew all about them. Just do you and God a huge favor: NEVER BRING UP THAT FORGIVEN STUFF AGAIN! Why? Because He will have absolutely no clue what you're talking about! He will forget it the second you ask forgiveness. Then you can go to praying and developing your faith and confidence in Him just like we were originally talking about. Anything more? ForeverTheOne |
