Subject: Infallibility of the Bible questioned. |
Bible Note: "Yale divinity school grads on this forum? Heaven forbid! In the history of the forum many have trotted out their educational credentials -- the names and the number of schools attended, degrees earned, how many times they've been published, awards they've won, etc. -- in an effort to convince the rest of us "dummies" of the superiority of their great learning. So far, the only ones they've succeeded in convincing are themselves." I can't speak for what happened in the past on this forum however if you look closely at those who led Christianity down through the ages you'll find that they were quite well-educated (for instance, Paul, Luther, Melancthon, Calvin, Wesley) and I would suggest for good reason for most of the heretics who mis-led were not educated and believed their own lies (as a recent example witness David Koresh). |
