Subject: Infallibility of the Bible questioned. |
Bible Note: Why the ungraceful answer? A dissenter from what??? Is the correct position on the literalness spectrum God's litmus test? Is it even in the top 40??? Many Bible stories ARE hard to swallow for a new student of the bible like me. I still can't get over that talking donkey or Jacob wrasslin with God. I laugh, picturing them, as I write this. I love Jesus... I think his suggestion of pulling the shekels from the fish's mouth was the clincher for me. My favorite OT story is the General simply wading into the river. How very simple... says a lot about the value of theology(sp) Sorry, but I don't think you're going to see any Yale divinity school grads on this board anytime soon. Gotta go and look up the word exegesis. |
