Bible Question:
If the bible is supposed to be the infallible, direct word of God written not by men but by God thru men, then why does it contain so many contradictions? ie, Flood story in Genesis 6:19,20 and then Gen 7:2,3. The two conflicting accounts of creation etc... Thanks. |
Bible Answer: It's usually in our understanding of the Word of God that shows an apparent contradiction - but if you truly desire to know the answer to these questions, learning how to 'rightly divide the word of truth' (II Timithy 2:15) is exactly what needs to happen. I have had tons of questions about the bible thus far, and every one of them has been answered by rightly dividing the word of God. |
