Bible Note: Seems there is a bit of confusion about my response to salvation. It's really quite simple. Jesus said: 1. "You must be born of water and the Spirit" 2. "Amen, Amen I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in yourselves. He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day. For My flesh is true food, and My blood is true drink. He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him." 3. "If you wish to enter into life, keep the commandments" I am not aware of Paul or any other epistle writer contradicting these statements. Jesus offers this salvation as a free gift, a gift that cannot be earned by merit. But He does not force us to accept this gift. In Christ stjames7 |
