Bible Note: Dear stjames, If you don't mind me asking, I'm confused by your statements. So, salvation is wholly of you? You save yourself through baptism, and are kept by your works? Where is Christ in this picture? If YOU are the one responsible for your salvation and the keeping of it, I would concur that you could teeter back and forth. Which works are good enough to save you and which are bad enough to condemn you? Your view presents a god who frankly does not save to the uttermost (Heb. 7:25), and who is not really very sovereign. I thank God that I am truly saved by grace through faith, not of myself, lest I boast! Speaking the Truth in Love, BradK |
